Technique - With a 20 degree stepped edge on the bumper, this teaches proper edging technique and reduces impact.  A 75 degree angle as some competitors use does not mimic edging.  The 4 degree toe out also mimics how a person kicks there toe to the outside as they skate.

Function - Stress relieved deck allows it to lie flat on uneven surface, rubber backed to prevent slippage.
